A great couple of days talking tech.
We spend most of our time ‘on the tools’ proactively working with businesses to help them harness technology as a time-saving, money making investment, so when a rare opportunity arises for us to step outside of business as usual and meet new people who are interested in tech we jump at the chance.
The Local Government Conference, hosted in St. Helens, Tas last month was a great chance for us to catch up with current clients, associates and new faces who work across various different local councils from across Tasmania. When speaking to councils and private businesses for the first time we often learn that technology can be seen as an expense which is incurred when old devices need replacing.
Our challenge is to educate business owners (or head of departments) to consider modern technology as being a genuine point of difference to position them ahead of the pack. We actually encourage our clients to see technology as an investment which should be treated as an asset – with our role being to ensure that the technology is secure and helping them become more efficient or improving the customer experience for their clients.
We spoke to numerous representatives from councils all over Tasmania and had a wonderful time discussing the opportunities and challenges which they face each day. We also spoke about A HEAP of geeky stuff, which was great!
During the conference we ran a competition where we gave away a drone to a lucky entrant. Stand by for the winner announcement.
If you weren’t able to make the conference, or if you are working out how technology can benefit your business then please get in touch.
