Nic has been working in our Launceston office for the past 6 months working with SMB's directly as an Account Manager. Below he shares his perspective of how his role adds value to businesses.
Working with SMB’s across Tasmania I’ve noticed a genuine appreciation by business owners towards new technology recommendations. Whether it be the excitement of shiny-new equipment being rolled out across the business or embarking on an entire project to modernise and simplify their business’ operations – I’ve noticed that business owners get a kick out of what we recommend.
I think what I enjoy the most is helping business owners to realise the true value of what we can deliver for them – it’s about shifting their mindset from technology and I.T being an expense to embracing the way in which technology can become an asset to their business.
When I attend meetings with prospective clients I always have an open mind and I avoid talking about I.T straight away – nothing puts a business owner to sleep faster than hearing complex I.T jargon. I’ve found that most business owners have an idea of how they want their business to grow and my role is to suggest solutions empowering them to pursue these goals quickly and safely by embracing technology.
I’m currently working on a super exciting project on the beautiful West Coast of Tasmania that’ll reinvigorate the railway journey and leave guests wondering – “How’d they make that happen in a place like this?” Stay tuned for more exciting updates on this project!
